Beauty Bonding with your Daughter

Bonding activities with your child is boundless. Here are exciting ways to build a healthier relationships with the apple of your eyes- this time the venue is not the playground but right in your own bedroom. Kick back and enjoy some fun together with these giggly beauty ideas.

If you daughter is a pre-schooler, start with simple and fuss-free activities together. Little girls often love to have their hair brushed and braided. Take 15 minutes out of every day to do her hair- or save it for special occasions. You can make it sparkle with hair clips, headbands and even some sparkly spray from the drugstore (make sure they cover their eyes).

Once the child is three or four, pick out some wacky nail polish to paint he fingers and toes. Little girls love having her toes painted bright red or pink. You might as well enjoy it  together.

If your daughter is a grade-schooler, her schedule might be a  little bit hectic because of school work and activities. But you can steal some of those precious times with her to do activities with her. Create your own at-home hair salon. Have fun crimping or straightening your daughther’s hair or try a French braid. If she’s into it, try coloring your daugther’s hair with semi-permanent hair dye to surprise the other members of your family (be sure to read all the instructions) While you’re waiting for the dye to set, you could paint each other’s nails (or, you may choose to paint hers and yours) Put on some fun music and enjoy the time together.

If you’re not great at hair and nails yourself, visit a salon or spa that does both and get  a hair cut and your nails painted. When you’re done, go for lunch.

To look at beauty in a different way, take a nature walk and pick out things that are beautiful for unique reasons- flowers, animals, etc. Or take a stroll along busy downtown streets and find hidden beauty in the diversity of the city.

If your daughter belongs to the bracket we call tweens or teenager, why not pass on some of your beauty to help others in need? If you or your daughter has long hair, take a trip to your hair salon and have your stylish cut off your ponytails. Then donate the hair to a non-profit charity that makes wigs for kids who have lost their hair because of a medical condition. Or call a children’s hospital to see if you can spend the day with some young girls. Pack a bag of hair accessories, lipstick and costume jewelry and give it away to young girls in the hospital ward who are less fortunate.

If you need some rejuvenation and relaxation, plan a mother-daughter spa escape. You can relax the day away at a local spa. Enjoy a facial or massage and meet back in the steam room. Make a day of it and go for lunch afterwards. Or, pack your bags and head out for a weekend retreat.

Is There a Power word to call on UFOs?

One of the most unusual questions I’ve been asked recently came from a seminar organizer of mine in Cyprus named George, who confessed he has an obsession with UFOs 9unidentified flying objects)

“Can you ask your friend, (faith healer) Alex Orbito, if there is a special phrase or prayer one can say for a UFO to appear? Wrote george. I know it’s a long shot but we have nothing to lose by asking him.

The reason George thought of saking if there was a power word to call on a UFO is that when he was in the Philippines to attend Orbito’s seminar last April, Alex taught him “a special phrase which when uttered and at the same time press with your thumb a lump on a patient’s body, it dissolves. George said he had tried it and it worked. He said the healer has many magical phrases and wondered if there was one to call on UFOs to appear.

I told George he must be referring to what is known here among Filipino healers and mystics as oracion, or literally “aq prayer” which has magical effects. Without having to ask Alex, I told George, I doubt if there was such an oracion.

I said I have heard of oracions to render one immune from bullets or knives, to heal all sorts of illness, to call on spirits of guides, to attract the opposite sex and even render one visible. But I’ve never heard of a power word or oracion to call on a UFO.

As I had anticipated, when I had a chance to contact Alex Orbito and ask him that question, he replied. That’s the first time I ever heard such thing. I don’t know the answer to this.

So I asked another person I know who has knowledge of power words and talismans. He replied categorically that “There is no oracion to call on UFOs because one contacts them through telepathy.
